This grill actually works a lot better than i expected it to, especially for how inexpensive it is. I know it’s a “miniature grill” but it’s still a bit smaller than i expected. Only a couple pieces of meat can fit on it at once (depending how big the pieces are). But I’m ok with that because I wanted this for small group settings anyways & it’s perfect for that!

I come into this review with a bit of a jaundiced eye. I spent 20 years working in restaurant kitchens, including a stint in an upscale steak house in California, and, currently, I own a decent gas grill, a Weber 22″ Performer Deluxe, a custom built 3,000 square inch cabinet smoker, and a 700 square inch smaller smoker.So, I have low and high expectations. High in that I just want a solid piece of equipment that performs well. Low in that I’m often disappointed in products.Well, this little charcoal grill does a fine job of straddling the line between being robust enough to last, and work well, and light enough to be portable. The design is excellent and the coal management divider is a wonderful addition. It’s great to have an included thermometer and the two lower, and one upper, vents gives you great control over the temp.The wooden handle needs to be oiled or lacquered.The latch on the front is strong enough that you won’t worry when picking it up and moving it around.I ran a somewhat high temp test on it, 650 F, and there is zero evidence of paint/surface peeling or aberrations.It is petite, but that’s what I wanted. A smaller charcoal grill that I could use when cooking a small amount (as in dinner) of food.If you take care of your tools, clean this out properly, and keep it in the garage between uses, you should be able to get a few decades out of it.5 stars. Easily.
